Nexia International welcomes two new Australian member firms from Morison International

Nexia International (Nexia), a top 10 network of independent accounting and consulting firms, has strengthened its global presence with the addition of two new member firms in Australia: Nexia Brisbane and Nexia Melbourne.

The two firms leave Hayes Knight (member firm of Morison International) to join Nexia Australia, a member of the Nexia International network, bringing 16 partners and 113 staff to the network. Their membership strengthens the network’s capabilities in a number of key sectors, including independent schools, hospitality, not-for-profit and construction. Nexia Australia will benefit from the addition of six senior audit partners to its existing large audit team.

Nexia Brisbane Director Ken Robertson says: “Nexia is a highly regarded worldwide network and we’re thrilled to become part of such a collaborative team of professionals. Many of our clients require a globally-focused team, so we’re pleased to be able to offer them an even higher level of service.”

Nexia Melbourne Director Paul Dal Bosco says: “Australian companies are doing business at all points of the globe and the ability to tap in to the worldwide resources of Nexia, to help our clients is a significant advantage. We look forward to the broad range of services that Nexia will offer us and what we’ll be able to bring to the network.”

Chairman of Nexia Australia, Ian Stone, says: “Nexia Australia’s international and national representation are key to our growth strategies as more and more clients demand a multi-disciplined, global approach to service their requirements. We already have a strong presence in Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra, so with Nexia Melbourne and Nexia Brisbane, we are further expanding our expertise and national footprint.”

Nexia International CEO Kevin Arnold says: ”We’re excited to welcome these two firms to our network, which will give us an even stronger presence in Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Our member firms and their clients will undoubtedly benefit from their wide range of capabilities.”

Nexia Melbourne and Nexia Brisbane will operate under the Nexia Australia umbrella from April 2016.
