Nexia are committed to the fair treatment of, and creation of opportunity for all employees, clients and stakeholders. We will increase and improve diversity, equity and inclusion across the network.

However, we don’t just talk about it, we take tangible action to move things forward, because we know that embracing diversity, equity and inclusion isn’t a tick-box exercise, it’s a competitive advantage and a moral imperative. True innovation happens when everyone has a voice at the table, and businesses are more sustainable when people feel valued and engaged. It’s the right thing to do, and just makes business sense.

Evidence continues to indicate that diverse and inclusive workplaces support staff engagement and retention, generates innovation and risk mitigation, and ultimately impacts business performance.

Nexia DEI Taskforce

Our DEI taskforce, with members from across the global Nexia network, is driving forward work in this area to support member firms to foster their values driven and positive workplaces. The Chair of the taskforce is Mark Weston, Partner at Davidson & Company, Canada.

Nexia’s DEI achievements so far

Nexia won the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year Award at the International Accounting Forum & Awards 2023 for our Aspiring Women Leaders Programme.

In 2025 we have hosted a series of webinars to inspire and support members in building positive and inclusive workplaces. Including webinars by global keynote speaker, author of Unbias, and one of Linkedin Learning’s top trainers, Stacey Gordon. If you missed any or would like to listen again, see below:

Since 2023 more than 100 women in the network have attended our award-winning Aspiring Women Leaders programme, and Nexia have provided an annual bursary for dozens of women to benefit from 3 months of one-to-one executive coaching sessions to support gender equality. Feedback from both these initiatives has been outstanding and it has made a really positive impact on participants professional and personal lives.

In 2025, as part of our commitment to support the development of women in the global network, participation on the Aspiring Women Leaders Programme, will be complimentary for staff at Nexia member firms.
