International Women’s Day – Annalisa Vitali

Have you faced any challenges about inclusion within your career?

It can be tempting to put in place superficial fixes to achieve the optics of inclusion, such as reserving roles for specific demographics.

In Audirevi, we believe in flexibility and a sense of autonomy as crucial for retaining inclusive talent. We favor performance metrics possibly based on results, not hours spent in the office, flexible schedules and a work environment based on cooperation and transparency, team members mix-up at every level. We encourage every member of our team to express their opinion and contribute to our growth and improvement based on their ideas and their soft skills, based on their unique perspectives instead of their role in the chart.

This year, for the first time we are constructing a survey ask for feedback about people’s experience in our organisation, so that we can know what strategies we can implement to further improve our work culture.

What is the business benefit of inclusion within the professional services sector?

I think that if we consider a work team, surely the first benefit concerns the opportunity to have a different perspective: women can bring unique point of views, experiences, and insights, which can lead to more innovative ideas and solutions. Moreover, including women in decision-making processes fosters creativity and enhances problem-solving abilities within organisations.

About the customers, a diverse and inclusive team is certainly better suited to understand and connect with different customer segments, and this understanding can lead to more effective strategies, product development and customer service practices.

Talking about the work environment, inclusion brings a sense of belonging and community among people, resulting in increased overall satisfaction. This positive culture can have knock-on effects throughout the organisation, helping to improve teamwork, collaboration and the well-being of all.
